Some things simply make one wonder . . . and cause one to go: Hmmmmm.
A May 2022 online news item reported that a couple was suing their son and daughter-in-law for $650,000 for not giving them a grandchild. I can’t decide if the suing mom and dad just got off a spaceship from Saturn or Pluto. Hmmmmm.
Why would anyone name a salad dressing “Ranch.” What kinds of smells and tastes come to mind when you think of a ranch? Hmmmmm.
Recently I was in a government facility and came to a door with a sign on it: “Keep Closed At All Times.” So why have a dang door there in the first place? Hmmmmm.
Seedless watermelons. I like ’em and are glad someone grows them. But . . . where do the seeds come from to produce them? Hmmmmm.
Phonemic orthography is a system for writing a language in which the graphemes (written symbols) correspond to the phonemes (spoken sounds) of the language. Put simply, phonetic spelling is a tool for pronunciation that involves writing out words according to how the letters and syllables are spoken. So . . . when addressing the issue, why aren’t the words spelled fonemik orthografy? Hmmmm.
Medicare doesn't cover dental care, including procedures like cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dentures, or dental plates. Why is dental care not considered actual healthcare, but is treated like a sidecar health issue? Regarding dental care, the plan simply doesn’t have any teeth. Hmmmmm.
Hawaii has an interstate highway (H-1). Scuba gear needed when driving to California. Hmmmmm.
Life would make so much more sense if we approached it sensibly. Maybe the gods of inanity simply like to hear people hum: Hmmmmmmmmm.
